Major Achievements
  • As cosmetic containers are produced in small quantities in multiple varieties, and made using high manual labor, many materials and high labor intensity, it is difficult to promote productivity
  • In order to overcome this situation, Yonwoo introduced smart lines from the injection process to 53 facilities to establish a real-time management of manpower, facilities, materials, and work methods (4M) and a manufacturing execution system (MES)
  • As labor intensity has been lowered by installing a product life cycle management system (PLM) and automation facilities on the production line, the output increased by 11.5%, the lead-based yield improved by 12%, and the plant operation rate increased to 90%, increasing sales by 19.6%.
